Joe and I took both boys to the pediatrician today.
She started out with Will. When we left the hospital he was 6 lb. 12 oz. and 20 inches long. One week later (to the day) he is 6 lb. 11 oz. and 20.5 inches long. Unlike with Joseph, she mentioned nothing of a heart murmur and said his circumcision looked great. As far as his skin tag goes (everyone's been asking) she said that they do not do those in the office but that she could refer us to an ear nose and throat specialist or a plastic surgeon to have it removed. She wasn't sure how soon either one would remove it because it is considered cosmetic. It in no way affects his hearing...it just gives him a little character. She wants to see us back next week for a weight check. On a little side note -- Will's umbilical cord fell off today.
Joseph is now 27.5 lbs. and 33 inches long. He's consistently been in the 75% for his height and 50% for his weight. She said that he's growing beautifully. He also received his Hepatitis A vaccine today. His next appointment is his 2 year appointment and then after that he only goes once a year. It's hard to believe my little guy is going to be 2 in 6 months.
